Welcome
"LAHAZOR ATARAH LEYOUSHNA"

The Teaneck Sephardic Center is located in Teaneck, NJ, and was founded with the purpose of providing the English speaking Sephardic community the opportunity for traditional Torah learning.

Our Organization unlike any other in the world, is not just a yeshiva, nor it is just a Beit Kneset. Rather, we are an organization that is in the process of building a warm and welcoming Sephardic community. Today, Assimilation plagues our beautiful religion and attacks us where we are weak; our youth. Being a minority within the greater Ashkenazic community, Sephardic Jewry is even at greater risk than ever. The Teaneck Sephardic Center aims to build committees, programs, a kollel, a mikveh, and institute a Beit Din to fight against assimilation and to strengthen, promote, and insure the continuity of our culture.

Torah scholarship is the foundation of a successful and vibrant Jewish community. With our project Kollel-Lev Chaim we will provide an outstanding torah education to those who are thirsty for the Torah’s knowledge and to all who yearn to know its secrets. It is our goal to provide our students with the skills necessary to become active participants in the Jewish community. After being trained on the highest level, our students will then be ready to assume leadership positions within Jewish communities around the world.

The Teaneck Sephardic Center’s motto “Lahazor Atarah Leyoushna” means to restore the ancient crown. Our organization is dedicated to this goal and with the help of The Bore Olam, we will achieve our goal and indeed restore the ancient crown of Torah scholarship.
